Re: League of Legends
Yeah. I have about 300 games on LoL, and then I tried HoN. LoL is basically SPAM EVERY SPELL YOU'VE GOT in teamfights, with more hp, a smaller map and less jungle. Towers are also down in -3 seconds.
HoN is the opposite. Fun chars, big map, harder to kill towers, more jungling, better buffs, better items, more in depth.
HoN is betta.
Add me if you like on both, it's Kyle700.

I Like lol, and having never played dota, I think I would not care for the serious business play of hon. What I've read is basically hon is dota 2 while lol has gone a different, more open route. Around 400 games under my belt now.
Anyone that wants to play lol with meno and I should hit disorder's vent. We usually have about 5-10 folk online in the evenings all playing lol.

Re: League of Legends
HoN isn't really that serious, but the gameplay is drastically different. If you read the LoL forums you would never try HoN (not like you can now anyway) and just label it as BAD.
Much better heroes in HoN, a lot more fun to play, better juking the just running into brush (which compared to fog of war, sucks) the towers in LoL are just too much fail to even begin with. HoN has a bigger map, which leads to more interesting gameplay. It has a bigger jungle, which leads to most carrys being able to farm, instead of only a few like Twitch or Tristana. HoN is also less reliant on hero kills. Casters don't scale with AP however, but to be honest, it should be that way. Casters should dominate early, and then carrys should dominate late. Not casters dominate all stages, and carrys might dominate late.
HoN has tp stones, that is rather nice. Helps to save against Backdooring. And to top it off, games rarely last longer then they do in LoL.

Good info Kyle, thanks.
It's interesting how the games differ. You say hero kills shouldn't count for much, and LOL goes and makes a super tiny map that is all about beating each other up.
My main beef with hon: no udyr. If I can't play the bear-plane, I don't want to play at all :P
sent from my incredible and tapatalk. or something...

Re: League of Legends
Eh.
Hero kills are pretty much how you get your gold in LoL. Creeps give you gold, just not on the same scale as HoN, when a carry can sit in the jungle for 40 minutes and come out BEEFY AS HELL.
There's a few heroes on HoN that are sorta like Udyr. Udyr is pretty unique tho.
