Yeah. I started playing, I dunno, 2-3 weeks ago? Played the beta way back when, didn't really like it, but I'm enjoying it right now. Went to the forums, figuring I could get some better information that way... big mistake. I'm pretty sure people don't even read posts before they respond with whatever meme they happen to be a fan of right that second. I mean christ, at least the WoW forum trolls actually made sense most of the time.

Using the name Urscythe since Pizzashark was inexplicably taken. Currently lvl 15, and I guess my main is Blitzcrank since I play him more than everyone else combined. Also have Sion, Cho'gath, Tristana, and Garen unlocked. I'd like to buy Maokai when I hit 6300 IP, but I've been advised to save my IP to buy lvl 3 runes when I hit 20.

Definitely prefer Blitzcrank to everyone else and it's a cold day in hell when you expect me to play Tristana and do well (I suck at anything that isn't a tank or at least relatively fat.)

Had a game this morning at about 8 AM or so where all four of my teammates were apparently Chinese and didn't speak any English besides very broken cursing ("you mama", "ass you hole", etc). Ordinarily this wouldn't be a problem except for the fact that all of them were also very, very bad at the game. At least if they spoke English I could've said "yo Shaco stop running up to their tower when you know Sona and Gangplank are chilling in the bushes", but I couldn't communicate with them.

Christ, Riot needs to do some kind of IP blocking thing so that you can only play on a given server farm if your IP is from the area that server farm services. Bad players are one thing... bad players that don't share a language with you are another thing entirely.

Korean most likely. Korean players play the US servers over the EU, and there has been a large influx of them as of late.

As an aside, I have a thread with player names and usernames going in the strategy games subforum. If you would like me to add your name to the list pm me or post there.

You can add me as The RudeMood in LoL, but I've been playing strictly ARAM lately to save myself the idiocy that is normal queue at my mid elo.

There's a penny arcade about this that's very good.

Essentially there are some people who are playing LoL, and the others are playing a game where they try and make you mad, and usually succeed.

I play under Menoske (lvl 30, several rune sets, etc) as just about any caster (Brand/Malzahar atm), Gangplank, Amumu/Nunu, just about whatevs

Also have a smurf account named Smurfzilla85 that's like lvl 16...Smurf only plays katarina. Hit me up sometime in game.

I've always thought it was to try out new heros or screw around during a free week, i dunno.

I do have a question myself though, is there a way to trial a hero when you have enough IP to purchase it? Or is a free week the only way i can give heros i'm looking at a test run? At my snails pace i'm saving up to buy Renekton, but this new Riven hero looks fairly similar and a lot of fun.

Gotta buy it or wait for it to be on the free rotation. Renektons a great champion but I don't plan to ever buy a 6300 IP champion

Smurfing was essentially so lvl 30s could roll lowbies and pwn people like "twinks" in other MMOs. Instead of gear, you know the skills and the champions better than the new players.

Its incredibly satisfying.
