I've done a lot of reading, and the MMO aspect of GA is a bit of a misnomer. It's a lot like Guild Wars in that all of the actual gameplay is done in small instanced areas, so the only place you're gonna see a ton of people is in the "lobby" areas (i.e. Dome City.) People looking for "World of Warcraft with guns" need not apply.

The best description I heard was "it's a shooter with a 3D lobby." Sounds right up my alley.

Pretty much. They're planning on being able to actually get into your hexes at some point, but it's all just fluff.

Awesome, I believe the beta is ending on Tuesday with name reservation on Thursday and Quickstart Friday-Sunday.

Quickstart will allow you to get your characters to level 10. I also plan on just farming the crap outta PvE missions for crafting componants if things drop during the quick start.
