Dungeons and Dragons Online goes free to play.

Evidently DDO is going free to play similar to Freerealms where you get a large portion of free content but must pay for the 'extra' features like a few classes, races and some storage. It will be interesting if other companies with older MMO titles follow suit as I wouldn't mind playing Everquest 1 again if it was free.

If anyone is going to try this, post up here and perhaps we can get together and play sometime.

I *think* I've tried DnD befre, not too sure. I'll be happy to play.

Very interesting - I wanted to play this one but didn't want to spend the $/mo

I played this game when it came out. It had some very nice features. After a week though the rollplaying aspect of the game was ruined by powergamers who knew every dungeon. Plus I never got my free month of play from them so I stopped playing. NWN offers far more diversity IMO.

If there were enough folks with NWN1 or 2 I would play that, but this offers ease since it will be free.

I downloaded the stormreach trial just to see what it was like again. My history with this game is that the 7 day trial is all I need to not like it again. :P
