Re: World of Tanks
newer people, don't forget to keep one or two tanks going at a time....if one tank gets knocked out early-ish in a battle, hit esc, leave the battle, and fight with another one while you wait. You'll still get the exact same amount of creds and XP as if you stayed and spec'd.

Re: World of Tanks
A couple extra pointers:
1) You cannot create a platoon unless you have a premium account.
2) Save up a couple days worth of gold and buy the 24 hr premium account. This allows you to not only create platoons, but you pick up an extra 50% XP and Points.
3) Platoons are limited to 3 people.
That is all.Last edited by RagunCajun; 10-20-10 at 09:40 AM.

Re: World of Tanks
Another hint that I learned form reading the forums.
It is sometimes better to keep your old tankers and move them to a new tank. If they have skills above 60% then it is worth moving them and then retraining them for free (the 50% rapid training). Contrary to what you would think, the Rapid Training does not put their skill down to 50%, it only subtracts 10%. So if they were at 65% and you put them in a new tank and rapid train them they will be at 55%. This only works with moving tankers from one vehicle of the same type to another (IE light tank to light tank or SPG to SPG).

Re: World of Tanks
If you move a 100% trained crew into a tank of the same class eg: light to light, med to med, hvy to hvy; the crew will only drop to 90%, and not lose it's secondary trained skills.
I have placed crews of mixed classes into tanks together, and while they train at a slower pace, and you lose some of the overall skill benefits, they will train up in the out-of-class tank. Example: I have a medium tank crew in a light tank and they have trained up to 62%. When I purchase that medium tank, I will move this crew into it.
This is probably not the best use of the crews, but it's better than starting with a scratch crew. No crew will fall below 50% in skills. So it's better to take an untrained crew and apply the method I am using.Last edited by RagunCajun; 10-20-10 at 09:59 AM.
