Newt's far and away the most intelligent of the Republican candidates and I'd love it if he could secure the nomination because in a debate he'd handily crush Obama.

Unfortunately... yeah.

After Cain got knocked out of the running I had a hard time paying any more attention. I just sort of assumed that Romney would wind up with it. Santorum is decent on most issues but soft on illegal immigration. Newt's way too nuanced in his arguments to make any sense to the common man, Perry is a lost cause because while he's got a pretty unassailable record in Texas, he doesn't really have the diplomatic acumen it takes to step up to a bigger stage. Huntsman's a joke and Paul is a dangerous joke.

They're all a joke. At this point in time i'd rather vote for some of the super wackos who paid to sit in on the Dem. ballot just to say they were on a presidential ballot than choose one of the GoP candidates. None of them inspire confidence. None of them are the right person for the job. Obama is laughing it up as he plots where he wants to spend his victory vacation.

Huntsman is the only candidate in that clusterfuck they call the Republican primary that can beat Obama. Romney is a walking, talking contradiction, Santorum is an extremist that could never win a national election (just Google him, lol), Ron Paul would continue to bleed support as more people find out how radical his faux libertarian policies are, especially among seniors. Gingrich's personal problems would be very tough to overcome. They're all jokes. I've been guaranteeing an Obama reelection on here for the past two years, at least, and I'm sticking to it.
