I'm pretty sure I came to deathgodusmc's current conclusion toward PC about fifteen years ago and haven't changed my mind since. PC people are a buncha fa****.

Re: The last fucking straw.
I'm pretty sure that what happened this morning was that someone played the version that was edited in... uh... sometime in the 80s. It probably happened because all they had around was a greatest-hits CD or something.
From the point of view of the record company, the purpose of the song is to make money. If they have to cut it up and bleep it to get it on more playlists and save space on the disc, then whatever.
Hey, I'm with ya on the re-cut version. That sucks. But it happened a long time ago. Even back then though a lot of people had already decided that "political correctness" was a lame label, that euphemisms could help soothe social sores but were being over-used, and that just getting the hell over it was a good plan for a lot of people.
Seriously though, DG: glad you're ditching "PC". Welcome to 1993.
As I recall, it was 1997 when backlash over sensitivity in speech was co-opted by The League Of Assholes as an excuse to promote a new era of douchebaggery.
Live Large, DG.
Live Large.
