So I just thought about this...
Let's say you upload/download a copy of a Micheal Jackson song... Under SOPA, that will get you a 5 year sentence... Which is also 1 more year than the guy who actually killed him.
#Govt fail.

Re: Anonymous Drops DOJ, MPAA & RIAA webistes
While part of me goes "Yeah, stick it to 'em" another part of me knows this is just gas on a fire. The gov't has a lot more money to throw on the fire than Anonymous, despite everything... I am an activist, but I am somewhat realistic.
sentiments agreed on Megaupload ... it was useful for so many things other than piracy.

Re: Anonymous Drops DOJ, MPAA & RIAA webistes
Anonymous has proven they know what they're doing when they try. Shutting down government websites for a temporary lapse is nothing. They know how to get in and, once you're in, it's not that difficult to keep it down. Especially with multiple people able to help in tracing around and keeping whoever is trying to keep you out guessing.
Speed. I am speed.

If they can reach DOJ email then DOJ Sysadm's need shot and fired. Assuming they follow the same guidelines the majority of the Govt. does, that would be a dangerously deep break in. As much publicity as these site take downs get they don't really accomplish much because by and large very little traffic really goes through the website. It looks really important because the only part of the various organizations that the public can see...but most of the actual govt. people in that section won't be on the site much.
I do agree with them in spirit though. I know the article mentioned that they were targeting some record companies and whatnot, personally thats who I'd be fucking with. The people that started the whole thing.Last edited by iLLusioN; 01-20-12 at 12:39 AM.
