Yet another group is offended

While we're all talking about people being easily offended, I figured I'd touch on a story that's been in the news lately. The Christians are out in droves, booing, threatening and wishing injury on a 16 year old girl who had the audacity to win a court case for the first amendment.

She even received threats of physical harm and Cranston Police said they are investigating some threats directed at her on the Internet, according to CranstonPatch.

It has gotten so ridiculous that several local florists wouldn’t deliver flowers to Ahlquist’s house.

Well, from what I gather, quite a few from r/atheism did that when the calls went out to show her support when the religious nutsos were threatening her on the social networking sites, blogs, TV, etc. I feel very proud of her and a little worried as she has to be followed around by a police escort at school. Fucking extremists always got mess things up for good people.

Disgusting little whelps. This is why I hate organized religion. "Oh, our teachings tell us to be kind and tolerant of other people. But we don't actually PRACTICE it, that wouldn't be hypocritical!"

They are probably all blind ferret follows of Sarah Palin, too.

Every sect of christianty picks and chooses from the bible. Catholics think only catholics get into heaven (even though at some point it says everyone does). Methodists think everyone gets in and everyone can come to communion.

These are just people ignoring the love your neighbor part of the bible and concentrating on revelations and the old testaments fire and brimstone.

Sad that its only the crazies that represent religion and none of the good stuff ever gets reported.
