    Imaginary Freinds

New atheist billboard raising eyebrows | 9news.com

The organization did not return 9NEWS' calls for comment, but on their website, they say part of the reason is their concern with religious people they say who feel they are obligated to force their religious views on others.

Why would that cause contraversy? I see the other side of the coin has no issue spreading their message in the same fashion.

Isn't this pretty synonymous with the "You're going to Hell" billboards?

Seems like they're expressing their Free Speech just like everyone else. I se no reason for anyone to be up in arms about this.

    Re: Imaginary Freinds

I'm guessing the issue would be, that with the religious ones they are trying to save people from "evil," while they probably see these are trying to, again, lead people to hell and thus ruining their afterlife. I'm not very religious so I'm probably off quite a bit, but that seems to be the only thing I can think of as to why it'd be an issue.

Personally I think consistently telling someone if their family, friends, etc. don't believe in their god, might cause them to be a bit...pushy in trying to get their family, friends, etc. to believe.

Besides, does anyone really pay attention to the billboards they see, except for like maybe a couple minutes? I pass a couple most days and I couldn't tell you shit about what they say.

Ironic that they put up a billboard to address the issue of people trying to spread their beliefs? Just sayin'.

I try and ignore as much advertising as possible so it's not bothering me.

I'm bummed there wasn't a COTFSM billboard. But I do know how the picture will look like with me in it.
