Anyone catch the debate lastnight? Rick was pounding Mitt over Romney care being the same as Obama care. Romeny was defending it and all that while Rick was rolling his eyes looking at the lights above him and when Romeny finished, Rick said I ask you again. Do you pay a fine for not having health care? Romeny had no choice but to say yes.

It smells like angst in this thread.

Obama's still a shill for corporate interests and neoliberalism, but he's less of a shill than the Republican candidates, so vote Obama in 2012 unless you want this country to be even more beholden to the interests of the rich than it is already.

    1) The concern with the last topic was directly bringing me into it when I didn't want that kind of attention, especially given my track record.

    2) I don't like Obama, but he's a hell of a lot better than the republican candidates. I don't think he goes far enough with his "left wing socialist agenda" as you describe it.

I agree. I'm feeling pretty disappointed by Obama myself, but it's certainly not because he's been too far to the left. If anything, he's been too similar to Bush.

I'm thinking of not voting this election. I don't like any of the candidates, and I refuse to accept the lesser evil approach. However, I would be shocked if Obama didn't get re-elected

Sad thing is too many are blind to see this.

I too have been disappointed, but I am more worried about the circus going on with the Republican candidates.

I wouldn't worry too much about that, none of them are viable candidates. I'd like to see Paul win the primary, not because I think that he'd be a good president, but because he'd at least make the debate interesting.

Ron Paul might just be bat shit crazy, but at this point that may well be what this country needs.

Maybe - unfortunately, mixed in with the crazy is still a bit too much pure Republican for me.
