This is the sad state of our justice system.

Jonathon Turley, a law professor at George Washington University, reports on a disturbing case in which a state judge in Pennsylvania threw out an assault case involving a Muslim attacking an atheist for insulting the Prophet Muhammad

That's a serious ethics question, I my opinion the judge should have recused himself on conflict of interest.

I have to believe this gets overturned easily on appeal. He should call the ACLU. At the very least, he should file a civil suit against the attacker. Westboro Baptist Church gets away with this stuff like this all the time and wins money, so it was absolutely wrong for the judge to throw it out. However, I do not believe it is fair to assail the whole legal system because of one douchebag judge.

The judges comments were on the news today, his reasoning is insane. The guy might have been a tool for running around yelling that he was Muhammad, BUT he was perfectly with in his rights to do so.
