1. In January of '09 gas prices were $1.84 on a national average. Today they are $3.75 on average nationally. I remember when liberals were calling for Bush to be impeached because gas hit $3 bucks a gallon, now they are completely ignoring.

What? Sooo not true. Most liberals I am close to think gas prices should be high; like the rest of the world pays. It would force us to consider other energy sources; further we would not be tied down to the Saudis with our ridiculous oil trade agreements and subsidies.

How does forcing every american to make multibillionaires out of oil tycoons force us to consider other energy sources? I mean seriously how do you figure that is going to work? Its been up for years now so where is my personal windmill? Wheres my cold fusion? Where is our synthetic forms of every other petro product?

2. National Debt was $10.626 trillion the day he was inaugurated. Now it is $14.639 trillion. Fastest increase by any president EVER.

The economy was falling apart when he took office. A lot of that debt is due to things that occurred just before his presidency. A lot of that debt has helped to rebuild America from the Bush administrations wreckage.

Im sure Obama loves your input but it isn't reality. Sure some of it belongs to Bush but nothing forced Obamas hand in continueing what Bush started. Then you still have all the other crap Obama has done. This is just a cop out for taken responcibilty. He refuses to own his own garbage.

3. Unemployment rate is down, but who knows what to really think about that.

See answer to number 2. Stimulus is working here in Oregon I can tell you that.

I dont live in Oregon but i can tell you it isnt working in florida. Hes been playing a shell game with the numbers the whole time so i dont have a whole lot of faith in his reports.

4. Everything is still the last guys fault and he has yet to take responsibility for anything. After nearly 4 years in office it is no longer what was left to you, it is yours and yours alone.

Recovering from the Bush administration's failures and wars is a lot to recover from. We are doing pretty damn good all things considered.

How do you figure?

5. He forced through an unpopular "Healthcare Reform" bill that when its all said and done has pretty much made it a law requiring Americans to have health insurance.

Thats not true; do some research. I am uninsured; no law forces me to be insured. Further there is no public option. The health care bill was only unpopular with the left because everything it was supposed to be was gutted by the right in order to pass it. Forced? puh-lease, the reason the bill is watered down to the point of not doing what we wanted is because he did not force it through.

That bill also helped to bring federal loans back to the fed; saving many students a lot of money (they don't have anyway ... part of the original problem). That bill was full of things and not one of them makes the requirement you complained about. I wish he had forced the original through.


How do you figure its not true? Last i knew the fine for not having coverage is still waiting for a court date.

Still say hes going to get reelected because the Repubs are too busy fighting with each other and trying to destroy their fellow "conservatives" all the while maintaining we are trying to do what's best for the party. 4 more years of hand outs coming your way.

Thank whatever powers that be for the chaos on the right; we need to take this opportunity to get our democracy back on track: Taking care of the people, and not a few people's opinions or wallets. I am a working man and I vote for those who are protecting the people.

Remember that FDR is widely considered the US's best president.

Yeah but FDR was financing the war for the allies before we even entered. Then we fought WORLD WAR 2. Thats still a pretty big difference between what he did versus what Obama did. Just the number for the amount kia speaks volumes of how they do not compare. WW2 kia over 404000. Number of troops sent to iraq and afganistan at any given time was about 15000 at our peak. So he had over twice as many deaths as we had in both wars with less then half the time.


Its not a fair compairison at all.

I wasnt really a fan of Bush and I dont pay to much attention to politics cause its all bullshit but I didnt like bush because he managed to sound like a retard and I have always hoped out president would be someone intelligent.

The first quarter of this year was very strong. Unemployment went down, most American stocks went up. The economy appears to be in a bit of an upswing. Let's just hope that Europe manages to stay on their feet so they don't drag us down with them.

Of course it was strong (if you really want to call it that) in the first quater. That had nothing to do with the government it was seasonal employment that made a mild difference. Were luck if half of those people even retained their job.

The difference is that prisoners on US soil will have the right to a speedy trial, habeas corpus, etc. That is the whole point. We (the US) claim to hold ourselves to higher standards regarding human rights and justice. Then we play this game with Guantanamo Bay to circumvent our own laws.
