Yeah, not valid at all.

The Golden Rule has been around a lot longer than the Bible, dating back to Babylon, China, Greece, and Egypt. As for the relevant Ten Commandments, most of those are found way back in the Code of Hammurabi. So the Bible is just repeating laws that have been around for centuries.
