Thread: One Million Moms threatens to boycott Toys R Us because of gay Archie comic

Seemingly undeterred that their heated protest of JCPenney has done little to further their cause, conservative group One Million Moms has its sights now set on Toys 'R' Us.

As Right Wing Watch and Towleroad are reporting, One Million Moms has threatened Toys 'R' Us with a boycott because the toy chain is carrying the controversial Archie comics issue featuring the wedding of Kevin Keller, an openly gay character.

The group writes on its website:

These comic books are sold at the front checkout counters so they are highly visible to employees, managers, customers and children. Unfortunately, children are now being exposed to same-sex marriage in a toy store. This is the last place a parent would expect to be confronted with questions from their children on topics that are too complicated for them to understand. Issues of this nature are being introduced too early and too soon, which is becoming extremely common and unnecessary.
The trip to the toy store turns into a premature discussion on sexual orientation and is completely uncalled for. Toys 'R' Us should be more responsible in the products they carry.

No word from the toy retailers just yet.

Of course, the planned protest comes on the heels of One Million Mom's much-publicized threat to JCPenney after that retailer appointed Ellen DeGeneres as its spokeswoman.

Im going to quote something I saw earlier today. Saying gay marriage is offensive to your religion is like saying eating a donut is offensive cause your on a diet.

Also how many of these 1million moms have kids that play CoD? Or BF3? Or any other M rated game when they are under 18? If/when I have a kid im not going to let him/her/it play any M rated games unless I know whats in them and think I want my kid getting used to whatever it is. I dont mind the running around shooting people, I assume kids are smart enough to know fantasy and reality but theres quite a bit of cursing in all of these games and I was raised taught that cursing is a not appropriate. While I ignore this rule when gaming, I dont curse infront of my parents and am very surprised when ever they drop a swearword in front of me.

You cant be a good parent by sheltering your child from the Gay Agenda if your ignoring everything else.

Europe has some pretty fucked up issues too. What would be considered taboo here in the US, regarding racism, is no the same case in Europe. Europe is racist as shit.... Totally off topic, but yea....
