Such a tragic story...
Bonus Withdrawal Puts Bankers in "Malaise" - Yahoo! Finance
Schiff, 46, is facing another kind of jam this year: Paid a lower bonus, he said the $350,000 he earns, enough to put him in the country's top 1 percent by income, doesn't cover his family's private-school tuition, a Kent, Connecticut, summer rental and the upgrade they would like from their 1,200-square-foot Brooklyn duplex.
"I feel stuck," Schiff said. "The New York that I wanted to have is still just beyond my reach.""People who don't have money don't understand the stress," said Alan Dlugash, a partner at accounting firm Marks Paneth & Shron LLP in New York who specializes in financial planning for the wealthy. "Could you imagine what it's like to say I got three kids in private school, I have to think about pulling them out? How do you do that?"

Re: Such a tragic story...
This is true, and I personally know of plenty of people that make 350K +, their actually not as cold hearted as the media makes them out to be. And btw the more money you make, the more expenses you have, some of these people I know pay a ridiculous amount of money on their property taxes alone. Just remember that the vast majority of people in the top 1 percent are probably those just over 350K......lawyers and doctors with their own practices, small business owners, professional athletes you've never heard of, etc..... not the billionaire oil monopolist most people think of.

I'm sure people all over the world living in 3rd world countries, starving, living in a shack with no running water or electricity probably have the same feelings toward average Americans that average Americans have towards the top 1 percent.
Think about it, roughly 20% of the world population does not have access to clean water, here in America...even if your poor, all you have to do is stand up and turn on the faucet.....don't you think those people share your viewpoint? Sarcastically feeling sorry for the millions of Americans that are going through financial stress in these times. Probably laughing at how stressed out Americans get even though they have civil liberties, food, clean water, shelter and education for their children.
Keyword is "almost", let's not forget Jesse Jackson confirmed awhile back that today's NBA players are "slave workers" and I couldn't agree more myself. /sarcasm
