Hardly united, you had one republican condemn it, and the speaker basically only kind of say it was wrong, while deciding to throw in a shot at the Democrats/victim in the process. hell mediamatter has a great one on some of the coverage:

In this case, the loony is the one that wants us all to pay for her birth control (she claims it costs her 30K/year). I'm not a Rush fan (not the band), but in this case, he is just calling a nut a slut.
