03-05-12, 10:13 PM #1Yes, that will save their lives
Been seeing these around the interwebs of late...not that I think all Christians do this, but those who do annoy me.
Now, you will say, "What is wrong with giving bibles to poor, starving Africans. Think of the poor starvin' children, Peter." And I'll say, "Fuck you, I am. A bible won't feed them. Food will feed them." And then my christian friends will say the same thing since while they give bibles to those guys...they also raise money to feed them so they aren't...starving. And then, we'll get on the radio together and do a drive to raise money for FOOD and bibles to give them.enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P

Re: Yes, that will save their lives
At least they are doing something. I'm going to assume that you are actively sending money to Africa to help starving children on a regular basis? Cooking meals for the neighborhood homeless guy so he doesn't go hungry? Devoting your energy, time, and money to helping other people out of the goodness of your heart?
Complaining about people actually doing these things while on an internet forum because you think they shouldn't be giving a Bible along with free meals?
Oh ok, carry on.

And on that note, fuck drunk drivers. Some of you younger people may agree with me but think it non-sequitur. Sam Kennison's brilliant career was ended by a drunk driver. That day, a genius went away forever.

Go read. what. I. said. I said that the people in the photo are just raising money to send them bibles, and I then said that my christian friends and I raise money to give those people food and bibles. We also raise money for the local food shelter. My station also helps out at the local animal shelter to boot.
So. Remember kids. Reading comprehension is important. Raush, you should take that to heart.enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P

Erm, if you see the bottom part of his post, you'll see that he IS helping raise money to help those starving children
And his main complaint is that they're sending bibles instead of something that will turn them from poor, starving children into just poor children....you know, foodLast edited by Morningfrost; 03-05-12 at 10:43 PM.

Once again, don't pretend to know me, because you certainly don't.
And R.I.P. Sam......A brilliant comedic mind stolen by an irresponsible asshole.
And who cares what people send over there? Does sending them Bibles make them bad people? Sure, they need food as well, but does that mean that people can't send other comfort items as well? You guys really need something to worry about.Guyver liked this post

There still doing something. Just because the Bible doesn't mean anything to you, doesn't mean it's stupid for them to send Bibles. The Bible to many, is spiritual food. Also, you have no way of knowing if those people in that photo aren't also sending physical food.
So, they're sending Bibles, is it hurting you?
