The story is a sad one, but it is nothing new. This type of thing happens in many places across the world and the U.S. should NOT have to step in to police this. I was shocked when I saw this, but children being kidnapped and forced into the military has been happening for a LONG time, and Kony is not the only one leading this type of military force... he is just one example of many, and it really isn't our business.

Again, it makes me sad, but so does the beating and unfair treatment of women, governments being overrun by terrorist organizations, and DRUG CARTELS OVERTAKING MEXICO AND CROSSING INTO THE U.S. BORDER!!!!

I mean, really... let's take care of ourselves before we start playing Team America, World Police.

Yup. It's not as if this crap hasn't been going on for decades. Don't get me wrong, it's never too late to start caring. But this is definitely the cause celeb du jour.

And furthermore, now that Sheen's goddess, Bree Olson, has gotten into the public support stuff I think that pretty well relegates this to meme-dom henceforth.
