KONY 2012?

Surprised no one has posted a thread about this, this "Kony 2012" stuff has been spamming all over my fb newsfeed. I watched it last night and it had 14 million views, I checked an hour later and it was at 17 million. Today it has 40 million views. What are you thoughts on it? I haven't done any research myself but it seems suspicious to me, mostly because the video doesn't specify as to how many innocent people Kony has killed or even talked about any actual events that happened. Throughout the video it just keeps talking about how Kony is an evil person but doesn't actually list any facts about him. Furthermore, some people are saying the charities financial statement is a bit sketchy (http://c2052482.r82.cf0.rackcdn.com/...pdf?1320205055).

I don't know anything about, but my wife and daughter came home talking about it yesterday. It seems to be spreading well what ever it is.

They say the filmmakers are using the donations to fund the Ugandan military...which are not all that different from Kony. So they´re taking the "lesser of two evils" route.

Just another pointless cause for WASP's to donate to and forward on Facebook so they can feel like "activists" and get their "good deed quota" filled for the year.

Kill Kony, remove him, imprison him and his entire group and another will rise to fill their place. If you want to change things you need to go past the symptom and find the cause.

That´s for sure. EVERYONE in Uganda, Congo, Rwanda and the like, needs a reset in the head. All they´ve seen since they´re 1 day old is war, death and destruction. They are raised around death and violence...if that is all you know..that is what you´ll be.

Haven't seen anyone I know who is a WASP actually support them...just a bunch of mislead young people of all faiths or no faiths.
