I never asked anyone to take my opinion as fact. Obviously the "greatness" one perceives of a President is subjective. But I WANT to scrutinize this, too, because I always want to have sound reasoning and evidence as to why I believe something. That's why I asked for the specifics. If you can't give me any evidence or even basic policies that you are talking about, how can I scrutinize it when I don't know where to look to find what you are talking about? Vague assertions mean nothing to me.

How much of those increases were due to higher umemployment claims?

All signs point to no; that being said, the economy is still in a fragile state. We could very easily have another one start.

Actually, it's easy to find out - if this increase is because Obama is a changing laws to enable more people to join welfare, as you seem to claim, then you should be able to name a few of those laws.

Actually he did change the laws regarding welfare and unemployment. I dont think any other president would have not done the same thing but you need a different arguement.
