Even more reason I really should delete my Fb account. But I have heard of the multiple accounts. Checking in at tack cabana at 2am... Oh yeah they were out drinking all night, don't hire them... Seems it just opens the company up to discrimination.

I didn't say that I would approve of it as a prospective employee, but if I were a prospective employer I would want to use every resource available to make my decision. Me personally, I wouldn't care what they do on their own time unless it could potentially affect their work. If I see photos of, or posts about, them blazing up, red flag. If all of their photos have them drunk, and the job requires them to drive, or be on call, red flag. It's really not much different than checking references other than Facebook won't lie for you.

Re: Job Seekers being asked for Facebook passwords
Again - check a couple posts ago. I don't have any issues with Facebook being used as a reference point in addition to a background check. None whatsoever. The issue is that there are employers who are requiring, for a job, things that a criminal investigation can't get without a warrant. That's the issue.

And I already agreed with you. I wouldn't give my current, or especially perspective, employer my password to anything. My phone, Facebook, email, whatever. I would also bet if the interview went well, then went south when you said no, that you could file a nice lawsuit, and possibly even win.
