If your profile is private then they have no concern with getting to see it. I wouldnt hand over the keys to my house so they could look around either. Its one thing if its a public viewing but private they have no reason to see it.

My FB is very much publicly available. But I would walk on an employer who wanted to sign into my personal account for anything. That's like asking for your car keys so they can see if you do anything they don't like in your own car (or house keys, etc.).

How'd the school district find it to begin with?
Also there some stats somewhere suggesting that ??% checks thier faceSpacetube at work, using company property, In that case I could see it being appropriate. or when Applying for a Community Manager, or Social Network PR person thingy.
