Case in point:
Last week, the Texas division of the Sons of Confederate Veterans sued the state in federal court for rejecting its proposed specialty plate featuring a Confederate flag. Before the November vote on that plate, Perry spoke out against it, as did many prominent Texas officials and the NAACP.

So "Choose Life" plates and "women's choice" plates are bad for the same reason. As I said then get rid of them all. If the state can't sell a plate (sell not promote) for "x" topic without upsetting someone, then they shouldn't sell a plate for "y" either.
Get rid of them all and everyone can have the same nothing played.
Problem solved.

The plate isnt unconstitutional any more then branding every piece of currency with "In god we trust". If it said texas follows jesus path then you would have a point. In either case though you have to pay to have a tag stamped with this on it. Florida has had a tag with "In god we trust" on it as one of 2 default tags everyone gets since 2008 and it is not unconstitutional.
I see what your point is but its not correct because the term god on the tag is used as a generic term to mean any god of which you worship. Here there are a few tags you might like to argue about but in either case you are not forced to have a tag with anything about any god. So there is no breech of constitutionality.
Specialty License Plate - In God We Trust
Florida DHSMV - State License Plate Design
The second are the two default tags. Personally i opt for the first first choice but to each his own.

Most states, including Texas, have those same cultural or natural plates as offerings. The issue is that Wicked, and a lot of people who disagreed with this plate in Texas, disagreed on the the basis of separation of church and state grounds. However, I and many others, regardless of religious leaning or lack thereof, don't feel that this meets the definition of state sponsored anything because the state did not create the design, nor do they mandate its usage. It was citizen created and purely voluntary. The only involvement the state has is the approval for using it as an official tag or plate on a vehicle. That's it.

Not to bad soy but we got you beat.
And it wouldnt be complete without this one.
Altho even with as many tags florida has im pretty sure maryland has the largest selection. They actually have so many they had to group them alphabetically. The a's alone have 55 different specialty tags.
