Controversial 'One State Under God' License Plate Goes On Sale In Texas | Fox News
When people ask why Christianity is the religion that keeps getting trashed, it's because it's always Christians who are pulling shit like this in the US. Why is this bullshit necessary?

Re: Texas "One State Under God" lisence plates.
Aren't all licenses produced "by the state" (honest question)? If so, then my original question still stands. How is this any different, or more meaningful, than any other specialty plate? I don't see the difference between this specialty plate, and others;
If it were up to me, I'd not have any specialty plates at all. But since everyone and their mom appears to want to have a special "Look at me" plate I see no reason why inclusion shouldn't be the standard.
And by the way - arguing on the grounds of "it's a state made plate, therefore the state must be "supporting" or "promoting" a religion" is a real stretch. You can go there if you'd like (and I am pretty sure that's where you're coming from) but it's a stretch.
It, and all other specialty plates though, is a waste of time and effort. Have others? Have this one? Don't want certain ones (arguments over it here in Texas have sounded like children fighting in the back seat of a car), then don't have any. Easy.

i dont ever care what the plate says, who cares. Its basically a less tacky bumper sticker for some people.
what does outrage me is when the vanity plate is something stupid like this 1 lady in my building is some sort of truncated version of "i bugged him". BITCH WTF DOES THAT MEAN?! And theres another one thats kinda like "teen talk". WTF DUDE YOURE WORKING IN AN OFFICE BUILDING WITH A PLATE THAT SAYS TEEN TALK!Alundil liked this post

Re: Texas "One State Under God" lisence plates.
Don't know about other states. In my state the special plates cost more. You can get a plate with a sports team logo, just as Morningfrost has a Tampa Bay Buccaneers plate, for a premium. I'd bet that the state keeps part of that premium.
Like you, I also just use the plate that comes with the registration.
But I'm pretty sure that Florida isn't going to subtly (or overtly) bias their laws in favour of the Bucs and/or against other NFL teams. You can't say that about Christianity (or Islam, or Judaism, or...) - which has a long history of inserting itself into laws, policy, etc.
Can I get a license plate that says "One Nation Under Vishnu" ?
How about "One Nation Under Xenu" ?
"Texas: There is only one God and Mohammed is his prophet."
Yet I'm guessing that Morningfrost could get a Dolphins plate if he wanted one.
Cheers,
