One thing I have always wondered, if pot were legalized, would companies still have policies against its use. Could they drug test and fire for pot? My guess is yes, and I wonder how many companies would keep such policies.
I bet if it were legal, consumption would go down.

I'm speaking from memory from a long long while back, but I think companies are limited on enforcing policies that reflect the law or can affect business. So no drinking on the job, but drinking can not be made against policy. I don't remember the particulars enough to elaborate further then there are protections in place that what you do when off work cannot affect your employment if those off work hobbies/instances aren't illegal.

Any English teacher reading this thread is now thinking to themselves, "Wow. That'd light a fire under my students. Talk about some serious incentive!"
... and then they'd think, "Huh, imagined speech that happens entirely within my own brain often manifests itself in sentence fragments."
