It's not solely a pro weed site. Hemp Is Not Pot: It's the Economic Stimulus and Green Jobs Solution We Need

Re: Marijuana rehash.
I didn't say there weren't also other problems to work on.
If someone's stance on the legal status of marijuana is based solely on the potential for tax revenue, then they are ethically and morally bankrupt and the things they say are of very little interest to me.

Re: Marijuana rehash.
I disagree with your remark that its not a pro weed site. I wasnt just talking about the part people like to smoke. However they do not have anywhere on their site a single negative that i have found so far or a mention to actually have conclusive testing done on it. They do at least make arguments that people here haven't made.

Re: Marijuana rehash.
Ok
New York is our largest police force with 34,500 members. Crime rate last year 220,984. Thats 605.435 per day .0175 per officer per day.
Philadelphia has 6600 officers. Crime rate 78,919 (2009). Thats 216.216 per day .0327 per officer per day.
Baltimore has 1918 officers. Crime rate 45,513. Thats 124.693 per day .065 per officer per day.
Detroit has 3000 officers. Crime rate 2009 (newest one i found) was 73,178. Thats 200.487 per day .0668 per officer.
Put that with the others and you should have all the proof you need that more man hours does not always equal less crime/safer. Or we can go into crime rate per square mile of city area and see where that leads us.

That assumes that their job ONLY involves processing crimes that make into a statistical report. How much of their daily work time is spent not producing an arrest that results in a conviction? Probably a good amount. Just because there is no arrest associated with police action doesn't mean that time is free and open for other uses. I think you're making an assumption based on the wrong, or incomplete, data.

Re: Marijuana rehash.
So your question is how many are detained on top of how many were prosecuted/released due to insufficiant evidence? Those numbers are public record as well. Even with them its still a false argument because small town have never had the crime rate/violent crime rate large cities do.
Even worse would be you would be proving my point even more so with those numbers because the argument was that small towns/small police forces can not do their job as effectively while prosecuting drug offenses. We both know small towns are going to prove they are effective even more by adding those events to the tally.Last edited by deathgodusmc; 04-10-12 at 03:41 PM.
