I´m sure that as creative and intelligent as we are, we could manage to do it without taking these "shortcuts". We´re playing god by tampering with nature and it is already biting us in the ass...and then we go back to what came first the chicken or the egg....we mass produce because our population demands it..yet we keep growing in population because the mass production allows us to do so.
I´m as confident we can implement policies, procedures and new methods for natural production just as much as you are confident that we can´t.

So Xav have you picked an argument yet? Because thus far you've really not made a cogent, precise argument for or against anthing other than someone should do something and be responsible for themselves and others and things they produce or consume or use or discard or give away or sell.....or or or
I admire your passion on the matter. But you're short on realistic solutions or plausible suggestions.
