Re: Just....I don't know...prius over-exposure perhaps?
Pesky details indeed. I want to see video of the previous 15 minutes.
By the time someone is getting up in someone else's face, there's probably already been a fail, and that sucks.
But being directly downwind of diesel exhaust sucks a lot too. What if she was there first, and had already asked them to move or shut off the engine? As Hub very nicely pointed out to us with that video, it's quite possible to be a huge asshole (and a potential health hazard) with a diesel pickup.
"Hey, honey, it's boring as hell sitting here while our daughter sleeps. Let's go provoke the fat woman over there in the Prius. Did you figure out how to do video on the cell phone yet? Good."
Cheers,

We have in our culture the attitude that one should go around confronting assholes, like were all in a Rocky movie. The truth is, if I confronted everyone who annoyed me on a daily basis, I would be in prison for assault. Clearly she has a car, just move. If she had moved, on her own, given a middle finger she would not have ended up on youtube or worse Fox News. Discretion is the better part of valor.

Yeah. I dunno either.
I'm not sure I understand all the Prius hate. I'm sure there's plenty of deluded thinking around them (I've experienced some of it myself), but that's true for a lot of things.
In an automotive application, it's relatively new tech. I'm happy that markets are testing it out. It will get better. I particularly like the potential for regenerative braking. Recovering kinetic energy (rather than wasting it by making dust and dissipated heat) is sweet. It's been serving the rail industry with increased efficiency for half a century.
I don't know if they can make it work on such a small scale, but wouldn't it be cool if they could? Even if you're a hard-core motorhead, aren't you drooling over the torque you can get from electric motors?

It's certainly interesting technology. There's no doubt about that. However it's not the "green" tech that it's routinely lauded to be and therefore I find it analogous to the fat person having cake with a diet cola.....
The perceived benefit is just that. Perceived. The end result is, quiet likely, more damaging that conventional technology (depending on where the measures are made).
With that said - I don't "hate" prius or hybrid/electric tech. I just dislike the "chip on the shoulder" that many of the prius drivers I've met, or in this case, witnessed all seem to exhibit (small sample size yada yada).
And yes - the torque is impressive...but so is that of a properly tuned carburetted or fuel injected engine.
