Re: Empire State Building Shootings
Being a "sheepdog" doesn't necessarily mean you have to be carrying. Being a "sheepdog" is more about being prepared to protect yourself, and those around you. If carrying a gun in Honduras means that you are more likely to be a victim, or better yet, turn your family into victims, then the sheepdog doesn't carry one.
It's also a little silly to compare the shitbags in the US with the shitbags in Honduras. Different kind of criminal, and a completely different mindset in both places.
90% of the time, I don't carry.....more of a hassle than it's worth. When I know I am going after-hours into a bad neighborhood....you bet your ass I am armed to the teeth. I'm not sure what kind of dog that makes me (labradoodle?).
Xav.....Up here is different than down there. If some little street shit wants to step-up to my work vehicle, it's either to try to sell me some drugs, or for intimidation. He will usually have some other shitbag buddies with him. I don't want any hassle, and I'm certainly not trying to be some badass, but when I feel threatened, you're damn skippy I have one hand on the wheel, and the other around a lovely Hogue grip. This has happened numerous times, and I have yet to have to show anybody anything, but if I ever need to, I will be fully prepared.

Re: Empire State Building Shootings
The problem isnīt law abiding civilians having guns. The problem is criminals having easy access to guns in the streets in the U.S.
What should be done to limit this? What should be done to diminish the flow of weapons to the streets? What can be done to keep guns out of the hands of criminals or people who arenīt mentally capable of handling a gun?

That is the billion dollar question. How do you keep people hell bent on breaking the law from doing so? If someone is already using a stolen gun to commit another crime (assault, robbery, murder, whatever) then what exactly is another gun law going to do besides maybe tack on a few more years in the pen if they are caught?

Yes...this is exactly what Iīve beens saying all along. The way criminals work here is completely different than the way criminals work in the U.S. Iīve lived in both places, have had experiences in both places. I have criminal friends in both countries. The mindset is completely different.
