Figured I'd start one for any TPGer's along the gulf coast. I'm riding out the storm here in Baton Rouge.

Got my Chef Boyardee and Mt Dew in hand, along with a few other food items.

Haven't felt the rain here in Baton Rouge just yet, but it is getting windy.

Not nearly as "bad" as Katrina, but Katrina only seemed worse because of the levee that burst. If that hadn't happened, it wouldn't have been nearly as bad.

New Orleans can handle wind...but it's basically just a giant bowl sitting at 11-12 feet below sea level. The rain is what will fuck the city up.

Then you better hope she dropped the bulk of it here. She probably dropped more rain here then i have seen in a long time for a single hurricane. Normally once they pass were clear and dry skies but its still raining. I'll give her that. She did refill our retention ponds.

Well, I don't live as close to the city as I used to, so if it floods, it won't affect me directly.

At least I have off work tomorrow.

So crazy how it affects such a vast part of the country. Was looking at it earlier around 11 AM, and the bands were extended somehow all the way up the eastern seaboard.
