So how long is this going to hold up? ( Colorado and Marijuana )
Amendment 64 Passes: Colorado Legalizes Marijuana For Recreational Use
Interesting indeed.
I do see some sort of federal intervention here but only time will tell..

It wont hold up. The feds are raiding medicinal mj growers in cali no way in hell would they let it fly. All they are going to do is remind them they dont have that choice to make. Sorry potheads better luck next time.

It's not just Colorado.
Massachusetts and Washington State passed ballot initiatives - in Mass by a 2 - 1 margin.
Montana had one too, affirming the one that already exists there.
Washington's isn't even 'Medical Marijuana', it straight-up says "if you're at least 21, grow it and dowhatchawant."
I didn't even realize how many states had a marijuana reform initiative on the ballot. Arkansas had one that almost passed.
So, yeah, gonna be interesting.

I for one, just want to see how this goes in a few years. The stat bitching is over, the rubber has met the road, let's see how it goes. Mostly because I don't live there, but I will be flying through Denver in January for CES 2013.

Yea, I bought Southwest tickets who always go there now instead of my direct flight to Vegas. I don't get to touch the stuff because the Navy would drop my applications like the plague.

The only difference the states have to look forward to is a second term for Obama. It's going to give him more leeway to go left and fulfill his "non-intervention" policy he stated in 2008 -- which till now he has yet to follow.
Remember, alcohol prohibition was not repealed in a day. It's going to go state by state. I am interested to see how the Fed responds as well, because with more states passing medical marijuana laws, and two with full on repeals of prohibition the Fed is going to have a harder time justifying spending tax payer money on prosecuting pot heads and MMJ patients.
