Re: Anyone want to still blame Obama?
Your the one that needs a perspective change here. It is the philosophy of any good citizen to question everything. Your failure to do so is a sign of ignorance and blind faith in the system. It is people like that I just can't stand. you will never know the truth because it isn't convenient to the people at the top for you to know it. So is "get over it" a good way to end this conversation? No but keeping on will serve as equally pointless.
Sent from my phone (not some stupid clever synonym of a flash of light)!

Re: Anyone want to still blame Obama?
So you started the thread and didn't bother to read the article? I gave you just some of the bases that prove they are lying. That doesn't even include the troops that could be closer to them. They have cars, trucks, helos, planes and everything so its not like they had to walk there. We had plenty of troops within range to get there with them knowing 1 hours after it started. I also doubt it took an hour for them to find out.

Anyone want to still blame Obama?
What about the AC130 that was on station, flying above the area and not allowed to fire? Also DG you forgot to mention AFRICOM HQ, where there are Tier 1 operators stationed.
So now this article is proof that no lying went on about the event? Hardly. You've seen the video footage I posted a month ago showing officials telling bald faced lies. What, so now you are content to say "meh, never mind"?

Re: Anyone want to still blame Obama?
If they weren't still playing the whole we couldn't get there in time card maybe. Even if they knew 1 hr after it started the fighting went on for 7 hours. Fast deployment units could have been there well before midpoint. All they have to do is put the bullshit back on the shelf and own the fuck up.

Granted, I don't watch much of the news, but everything I have seen all along is that "nothing" could have been done either because we didn't have advance notice (debatable), we didn't know soon enough (questionable), or there was nobody close enough to help (I guess that one depends on what your definition of is is).
