No, the election is over, and this was only valuable as a political talking point.

This was a tragic event and the right used it as political leverage to get their guy elected... and it didn't work.
The sad thing now is that there will be millions of tax dollars wasted on an unnecessary investigation. I sure hope they find something, but I doubt they will.

I think it may be more than just a political talking point. I guess it's just coincidence. http://www.teamplayergaming.com/news...-director.html

Re: Anyone want to still blame Obama?
Yup, the right made a huge gamble and lost. Asking tough questions about the incident is a good thing, even speculating on the "what ifs" can be a good thing, but we all know that in due time the truth comes out. The right was betting on the truth being political capital. The problem is, they didn't let off on the gas as trouble approached and drove the issue right into a wall.
I wont call the investigation a waste, if anything it may just be more thorough than it might have been without all the saber rattling from the right. Information about what happened that can be released will be released, and the stuff that cant will remain classified, that's really all there is to it.
Strangely enough, the complaints that i had heard from the right were not directed at the flow of information but the belief that Obama, and his administration were intentionally misinforming people by blaming the attack on... bear with me here..... "the artistic works of an American Citizen" rather than the terrorist who clearly perpetrated the act with no knowledge of the riot inciting "film trailer". Even after the facts were reported the White House continued to misinform people for days. That was the big bitch.

What can we do Festus? The truth should come out over time, and maybe someone will connect the dots to reveal a more sinister picture, but i doubt it. One can only work with the information provided, or allowed to leak. There are things about the whole incident that we will never know.

Its also a lie. They dont have to bring troops from Europe to assist. We have 7 bases in Italy, 1 in Turkey, and 1 is Israel. Of course there are plenty more but those are well within striking range for what happened.
So yeah still blaming Obama for inaction.
