Re: The fallacies of demonisation
Nobody was ticked because you said you weren't going to read it. They were ticked because you posted you weren't going to read it JUST to say you weren't going to read it. And got what I can only imagine was the desired response.
Successful troll was successful.
The article itself is generic enough that, though geared to EVE because it's posted on EVEO, it is a good treatise on how discussions like this and elsewhere in this particular forum break down into one side or the other throwing weight around in a dick swinging match trying to prove who's the superior dick swinger. The big lie itself is almost not referenced past the opening paragraph or two (which is slightly misleading if you just try to skim the article) but it is relevant to the discussion.
Having not read it, and trying to argue against it firmly places you into one of the roles that is described in the article itself. I won't explain it though. You'll have to read it to determine which role that might be.

Btw, wasn't trying to be a dick with my comment...but that's how damn near all arguments/debates start, or end up as. I liked the article..it makes sense in alot of ways and could be applied in a lot of places. Other games, gaming companies, real life, politics, etc.
