Finishing off a four day bout with flu-like symptoms myself here in the great northwest. I am thankful for some sick-leave right now.

Pretty sure it was A) Working at a college. B) attending a university and C) having family from around the country, including some young kids, over for the holidays. Between those inputs I have been exposed to all sorts of nastiness and it got me.

No I didn't get a flu-shot despite free flu-shots for staff/students at my work. Next year I think I am going to get a flu shot...

I always get the flu immediately after getting the shot. But I also got it about 2 months later.

I've never (unless when I was like really young and forgot or something), had a flu shot and haven't caught the flu yet, and I spent many a years in public schools
