How many guns do you need?

You have the wrong guy with that. My feelings do not come into the process. That is why i can acknowledge a gun collection is really no different then a stamp collection when it comes to what the next guy might think of their hobby.

I own 10 rolls of toilet paper. I really only NEED one, but it sure would be a shitty situation if that one wasn't around when I needed it. Same thing is true with my guns.

I guess I don't really have any valid reason other than the fact that I want them. My love for guitars and amps is driven by the feeling I get when I play them. It is a high that no drug can replicate. They allow me to diffuse anger, share joy, and deal with sadness, all without saying a word.

Lots of people say I have too many guitars, or too much musical "crap" all together. They might be right. If it makes you feel good and gives you enjoyment, then there simply isn't a such thing as too many.

Now, if it makes you feel like killing another human or breaking the law, then 1 would be considered too many.

It sounds like you are a bit of a musician, and I would think the tools of your craft would perfectly suit you. And you still do not have 10 or more.

Still flawed. Im a floor guy with an abundance of tools to include thousands of dollars on specialty tools that really only a professional mechanic would buy. I like tools and i prefer to have them in case i ever need them. Im also not a landscaper yet i have 3 lawn mowers and i dont even like cutting grass.

But, you see, I'm not arguing danger.
I'm asking how many of ANYTHING makes a person above the average of sensible reason. Anything, outside collectors and artisans/crafters/professionals.

They do sell it by the roll, yet I still have at least 10 rolls in my house right now.

And every person near me owns ONE chainsaw that they drag out as many times a year as possible to use on anything they can find a use for (My father in law has tree that is, literally, a living stump. Fucker can't leave shit alone, lol) . But they only have one or three chainsaws......
