And in doing so it sounds essentially as saying, "well if they were shooting up MY car, my gun would protect me!" Its as wishful thinking as the idea an assault rifle ban is going to end shooting sprees (or ammo limits or banning guns). A gun isn't and wasn't going to protect anyone from LAPD, anymore then banning guns would stop the ex-cop/ex-military suspect from shooting up families of LAPD etc.
If you want to really look at something useful, how about the media? They are the ones that should be and continue to look into issues with corrupt politicians and/or police etc., instead of being busy trying to find which white people where killed today, if it is going to rain, and some cute puppies so you aren't depressed after watching a half-hour of news.

To me our modern day media is about as useful as a roll of toilet paper. Their only role is to wipe up shit. I am not going to sit here and say that if the cops rammed my car that I would start shooting them, but I will say that if enough of the cops keep acting like this then what will happen next? My guess is the National Guard will be sent in to take over the police force, and what do you think they will use to do so? My guess is guns. But what if the Guard doesn't come in, and LAPD officers feel they can just continue to go shoot up every foreign auto maker truck in the city? My guess is they are going to end up with more people making their own high priority lists.

Again it seems you are treating t as though my position is guns are bad, it is that it is wishful thinking to think a gun will make a difference in this case. Also the National Guard would have (unless I'm wrong) legal jurisdiction in that case, they wouldn't need to start shoot-outs with LAPD to take over.
The last section(ish) is misrepresenting the facts, they aren't shooting every foreign auto maker car, as far as I understand it they had vehicles that looked similar to what they thought the suspect was driving and they were near the areas/people they were trying to protect from being killed. The issue is LAPD is overly paranoid and not being rational and thus saw that + that and said it equals=shooter. Instead of being level-headed like you would expect from what is supposed to be a professional force and not just shooting anything that might match what they are looking for and in a specific area (and you get into what high brass knew, ordered to do, etc. and things like that).

Suspect drove a silver Nissan pickup, yet ITT I see a blue Toyota with 20+ bullet holes in it. I also hear stories of cops going door to door doing a property search with or WITHOUT consent with no warrants. If a cop kicked my door in without a warrant of authorization how is he any different than any other criminal? Why should I not shoot him like I would any other criminal that did the same? In that instance yes, a gun could protect myself and my family. Also, you act as though it is 50 squad cars with 4 cops per car every time. Most of these instances have been 1-2 squad cars, so 2-4 cops. If one or two squads cars rammed me and I feared for my life that I was about to be the next one shot up I might take my chances.

Your using a hind sight being 20 20 approach. If my truck got rammed and then i heard shot being fired into it im firing back. I dont give a damn whos at the other end until the shots stop. It also seems like your trying to make excuses for their actions. They have lights, sirens, and a loud speaker. There is NO let me repeat NO excuse for the course of action being taken. There should be a few dead cops already with the disregard they have given to the human life they swore to protect. Frankly i dont see how a few innocent civilians haven't put a couple of them down already.

Cleveland police chase and shooting portrayed as chaotic scene by Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine (video) | cleveland.com
115 officers... 63 cars... Crackheads, but no weapons on them.
Cops shooting across the parking lot at each other... (well... it was a crossfire anyway)... 140 bullets fired by 13 officer. One of them fired 49 of those rounds (WTF that's at LEAST 4 reloads minimum).
Krakkens and shit. stop tempting them. -- Bigdog
