If they had a purpose for wandering around with the AR then hey... fine and dandy. They were taking it to the gun shop for whatever reason. They were headed to a range to do some target shooting. Awesome. Exercise that right. Big thumbs up. They had no purpose other than being dicks so yeah... they were within their rights. They were also douchebags.

Perhaps rather than douchebags they are simply trying to educate the very people that should know the law.

Festus' video actually proves it. How do you educate people? You get an event together like the people in VA did. You don't go wandering around downtown Anywhere USA filming people's reactions without something identifying WHY if that is your purpose (education).

The biggest flaw many of these guys have, as it's common for people to do these sorts of things, is that they are entirely convinced they are doing nothing wrong. However, if you have many people calling and reporting you, you have just given the police the reason they need to ID you. Then these guys denying to show their ID to carry the gun, again, is a flaw in their logic. The gentleman just wants to see their IDs to make sure they are not wanted or anything along those lines.

People doing these sorts of things are attention seeking pricks who are abusing their rights. Don't be surprised, if these sorts of videos become more popular (as they have been), if laws to prevent these things from happening begin to show up. These guys are clearly scaring people and they are not complying with simple questions made by the police. This is a problem.

And then when he tried to compare carrying to carrying in the civil war. Hah. Idiot.

I'm all for practicing ones right to bear arms (not the fuzzy kind). And while I can appreciate the spirit with which these guys are addressing a growing social concern, they need to also consider the current social climate we live in. Had this 'event' taken place without violent school shootings, then I don't think it would have been nearly that big of a deal. In fact, they may not have even felt the need to challenge the status quo.

Having said that, they fit the profile of every mass murdering sociopath in nearly every school shooting in recent memory. They are brazenly walking around with a loaded weapon, cameras in hand, to make a statement. Let me make it clear... their statement was made. And I for one and am glad they had the balls to do so. It's important to exercise our rights if for no other reason than to remind our government we haven't forgotten them.

But responsible gun ownership is the first step in removing the fear and stigma which plagues our country right now. In that regard, these guys could have done better. Are they attention seeking? Sure. But no more than your average gay couple kissing on the steps of the capital to bring light to a social issue which needs to be addressed.

This officer is a credit to the uniform and in light of recent events, we need a few officers who ask questions first, and shoot later. This guy was incredible. How many other officers would have pulled up, weapon drawn and made the situation worse? I also highly doubt these guys would have done this in L.A.

Listen Idc who you are you do this in my town and you will get shot at first and questioned later lol. It wouldn't even be the cops who shot at you probably. These guys are retarded though. Did they actually expect to win that argument with such piss poor responses. Not only that but if you are going to educate people on a dangerous subject you don't take a running with scissors attitude. That's just asking for trouble.

But thats wrong. They are doing nothing wrong and no as you saw in the video he has no reason to id them. He can request and they can tell him to fuck off. So no their is no flaw other then people not knowing that this is perfectly legal in many states.
