Actually Festus, you cannot open carry in Texas AT ALL.

A CHL is just that - a CONCEALED handgun license. It MUST be concealed at ALL times.

In Texas, you can also conceal carry in your vehicle WITHOUT a CHL, but it must be concealed at all times. My pistol comes with me in my truck, locked & loaded, and hidden.

I doubt any of those will go through. A bill for front license plates has made it all the way every year for like 10 years now and has never passed.

there is a bill coming up that would allow you to open carry in texas if you have a chl though atleast there was idk if it already came and got rejected or not tho.
