I will agree that you have a higher kill ratio with a gun vs a knife bat or several other things, but bans do nothing but take guns away from me and others that abide by laws. Crazy mother fuckers and thugs could careless about the laws and if the Gov took all our guns then you would see guns come thru Mexico, they can't seem to stop illegals so what would make you think they can stop guns? IDK about laws else where but if you want a gun you have to have a back ground check, unless you get it from a ken folk. One thing most of these mass killers have in common, they were all bat shit crazy and the result was people ignoring the reality of that and letting them get their hands on a gun. Would you let a 5yr old play with a gun? NO, so why would you let someone with the same mindset as a 5yr old have access to one?

True. The blade is a far more personal and intimate method of dealing damage to another person.

It is a bit presumptuous to say that there would have been deaths had there been a gun involved. In January there was a shooting at the same school, the guy unloaded a magazine wounding 3 people (including himself), no deaths, not even the guy right in front of him that he intended to shoot. The gunshots alone quickly alerted people where as the sound of a knife would have a limited effect.

We dont know whats going through these peoples minds, we can only speculate what would have happened. Im curious why he did what he did, and im curious why a gun wasn't used. Is it possible that current laws kept him from obtaining one in the heat of the moment? Seriously, did gun laws work to save lives in this instance?

Makes me question the ability of these so called anti-depression/anxiety medications. From the little reading I did on the topic, many of these shooters were on these types of medications.

My mother has anxiety issues and was on the benzo variants for a while. She became so dependent that she would sit in a corner crying for hours at a time. She was never like this before the medication.. Just food for thought..

Good point and curious myself. I wonder if any of these shooters were abusing their meds? As in staying high cause they couldn't deal with reality. IDK why people do what they do, I have thought about beating the shit out of people but not go unload forty rounds into them and whoever else is there.
