Re: I'm against gay marraige This is why
So by that same token, there should be (should have been) ass kickings for men "gazing" at women? Vice versa? Or do you see the double standard?
Who, exactly, is made a "second class" by this and how?
Two simple questions. The answers ought to be easily explained if it's as cut and dried as many would like to think.

Re: I'm against gay marraige This is why
I'm not disputing that fact. I know that there have been. My question was a pointed one. Is that (beating someone up for merely looking) good and right? Is it the correct thing to do? Does the "beater" know why the "beatee" was looking in the first place? My bet is on no in most cases. However, the point remains that beating someone (regardless of gender) is not the correct method of situation handling. And it probably wasn't "then" either barring extreme or extenuating circumstances.
So, I'll reiterate; Should someone, anyone, be beaten for "gazing" or looking, especially when the intent is unclear?
Who is relegated to a "second class" status by this change and how?

Re: I'm against gay marraige This is why
How is a man ogling a person said man attracted to and better or worse or more acceptable based on the sexuality of the person said man is ogling?
Let me help you....
Thinking that the target of the ogling appreciates it more or less based on that person's sexuality is utter nonsense and you ought to know it.
As for the rest...
Not going to let your statement off the hook so easily.
Second Class....implies a loss of right/privilege/degradation of treatment......
So how, in this new world where gay marriage is allowed do you (or other heterosexual people) now fall into a second class status?
And to your last statement....which I can't wrap my head around the obtuseness of.....but I digress.... How is the "issue supposed to be resolved?"
Ignoring it isn't resolution.
