Deputy. Morning. Dgod. I'm talking about the military, military conflicts or armed conflicts between two sides. To answer Deputy's question: who's the bad guy? Depends which side you're on. I don't know if you guys understand what I mean by that.

Using Festus' Nicaraguan example. My family was agains the Sandinista side. If a Sandinista killed one of us, that was murder. If we killed one of them, it was justified. And vice versa.

I don't consider an good-guy / bad-guy side. I look at it more as a "who was the aggressor?" in the conflict.

Krakkens and shit. stop tempting them.

Well that's relative too. Let's use the Iraq war as an example. Who's the aggressor to you, in that armed conflict?

And I believe many of the people on the Iraqi side of the conflict felt/feel that way as well. From their perspective, they are justly defending their territory and their people which is a logical reaction, I believe, against any kind of invading force in your territory.

Another human being? First thing that comes to mind is because we can't get along and our priorities, as humanity, are all fucked up.

Ideally, no one would need to kill. But history shows that we are not good at getting along with each other and that our inability to coexist often results in violence.

    To stop others from killing.

We may have been the aggressors in Iraq, but there have been far fewer mass graves being filled since we went there. Saddam killed far more Iraqi's than we did. Also, the Kurds have been having a gas-free life since we showed up.
