While as I have said in this forum previously I expected this to happen, this is great news. A victory for all who believe our Constitution is still a viable document. This is the greatest nation on God's green earth, and things like this give me hope that we can draw back from the cliff we are currently standing on. DOMA was unconstitutional and frankly I'm a little surprised the vote was so close.

Now what I'd like to see is for the court to defend the constitutional rights of all people and not just those who subscribe to the liberal progressive vision for America. I will refer to the court's ridiculous, overreaching decision on Obamacare as an example.

This is a good thing. It's funny how some people want to assert states rights on other issues but not this one.

And unless the people opposing marriage equality can do something other than thump their bibles, I expect more victories to come.

Oh, ok, I see. So marriage should only be between two individuals who can produce offspring.

I see. Well then all the couples where one partner is sterile should be legally divorced? Or god forbid one partner gets cancer sometime down the road and has to undergo chemo thus sterilizing them and then that couple should be divorced because they can no longer produce offspring... Or what about all the elderly couples, who are too old to safely reproduce? I guess then they'd have to be divorced.

So don't grow old or get cancer because only fertile couples should be allowed to marry or stay married. Mandatory annual fertility tests all around, for you married folks! Can't have a marriage between two partners whom are not capable of reproducing between themselves!

Never mind the millions of orphans that can be adopted... Because the holy marriage only weds two partners capable of reproducing...
