Re: Cops gun down dog
Another video of the dog owners actions prior to the arrest. Maybe the police officer should have used mace instead of shooting the dog, but I think this shifts more of the blame to the dog owner, who seems to be disrupting the communication between SWAT and suspects.

Re: Cops gun down dog
Asshatery all around.
The owner acted like an asshat.
The police respond in kind with their typical display of arresting anything that moves and using lethal force on anything considered a threat.
The public doesn't know how to act right and neither do the police.

Re: Cops gun down dog
It appears as though there is some sort of hostage situation.
We can gather from the video that there are multiple officers there, and they don't gather like that for some random domestic dispute. This was obviously some real shit going down.
We then have this random guy who wants in on the action. He is blaring his music causing a disturbance. He gets arrested because he was causing a disturbance, and possibly endangering the lives of A, the suspects, B the officers, or C, whoever was in that home.
The dog then escapes from the car, and the officer shoots him after the dog appears to have lunged.
I'm sorry to see an animal die here, but I'm not gonna sit here and bash the cops for doing something that I probably would have done myself.

Not necessarily, I can tell you that sometimes SWAT doesn't raid the house. When there are children or infants in the home, they sometimes sit outside the home and deploy these grenades that do nothing then make a very loud bang. From there they use a microphone to ask everyone in the home to come out one by one.

Perimeter control means perimeter, not "ooo lets get a look."
Trigger happy indeed.
SWAT is already in the house. This is nothing more then the Rookies on perimeter, not doing their jobs, letting the situation get out of control. There are no cops between the crowd and the "situation." That's not "control."Last edited by SmokenScion; 07-02-13 at 12:28 PM.

Naw the Fix in this Situation was to have someone on this end of the street relegating Traffic. There was not. Clearly when the man stopped in tha middle of the Street a Cop should have been there to shoo him forward, A cop should have been there to tell him to get back in his car. There should have been a cop or two there For crowd control. This is sloppy.
