    Re: Preparing for civil war?

I am telling you those conspiracies are not legit.

I do agree ammo isn't back to normal. I am saying it is certainly getting better around here. I used to use gunbot to find decent factory reloads for my M&P 40c... now I go to my LGS/range and they tell me that I can have as much as I want, no limit. .223/5.56 is like that right now as well. Also, if you use gunbot as a gauge there is constantly through out the day .40 S&W for under .35/round and that used to never be the case. Looking right now there is at least a dozen <= .39/round.

If this conspiracy was legit and the government was buying up all the ammo to limit the supply to soon to revolt civilians... why is .22lr the hardest to find and the most ridiculously overpriced? They certainly don't believe that we are all going to fight the NWO with our Ruger 10/22 rifles do they?

It has been proven again and again that the citizens of the USA will not let the government take our guns away and we have been able to do it every time by peacefully opposing ridiculous legislation. I don't see that changing anytime soon.

"The best way to take control over a people and control them utterly is to take a little of their freedom at a time, to erode rights by a thousand tiny and almost imperceptible reductions. In this way the people will not see those rights and freedoms being removed until past the point at which these changes cannot be reversed."

Yea I would like to know how much ammo they buy every year. The US has a largest military in the world by far; more than the next 10 countries combined if I remember correctly. I'm sure they go through a massive amount of ammo just in weapons training. Also there is no doubt that gun restrictions legislation has contributed to the shortage.

And aren't gun ammo manufactures multinational? So if there is a war going on elsewhere in the world, it can result in a shortage for everyone else.

Military buys FMJ and DHS buys hollow points. Nothing to worry about. After all snopes says its ok.

I do find it a little odd that they are going to train with hollow points. Doesn't make sense if you ask the shooter in me. I'm all for practicing with my home defense weapon using the bullets i'll shoot but as a full on training program, I don't see the efficiency or cost justification.

We're the 3rd largest military but the strongest. War does little to change the amount of ammo supplies here.

Whoa, I definitely wasn't advocating using Snopes as a sole source or that any website out there only contains facts and is right all the time. I was suggesting being a skeptic and finding sources that will likely contradict your DHS fantasies instead of feeding them.

Some woman on the VAGunForums just yesterday read an article about Russia and US exchanging experts with their disaster response teams to discuss best practices for mine disasters, natural disasters and protecting civilians at mass events and the title she put on the thread was "Russian troops at Mass Events on US Soil!".

I don't know if people read articles, pick out a couple words and then complete the sentence in your head for some anti-Obama wish fulfillment. It is like you think that he is actually evil and has some crazy plot. Is it really so hard to believe that (this goes for Bush too) Obama is really smart, with good intentions and trying to do the best for America (as he sees it) but just is completely and utterly wrong? Hell, at this point the delusion has taken such a strong hold there probably is no hope.

Sometimes I wonder if people are trolling me on the forums or in real life... or if they really believe that thousands of DHS employees are keeping this big Civil War secret from all of us. Fucking Nixon couldn't keep secret a couple of guys shifting through some crap in an office, how the fuck do you expect 10, 100, 1000 people to keep a secret?

I don't buy into the whole civil war thing. Are we headed that way.... Sure but could that mean we are 100 years away from it..... Sure. I do not however trust DHS at all and I do believe they are gearing up for far more than a terrorist threat. The resources they are obtaining seem way out of line to me. I do not trust my government right now and that includes the whole thing and not one party.
