Tough question. Sometimes i just like running them over. Kind of like driving by braille with the reflectors.

I already won't fly because of the TSA. As soon as they stop me on the highway someone is getting their ass kicked.

Re: Welcome to our Post-Constitutional America.

I have changed a lot in the last ten years. I was pro death penalty, pro Patriot Act, and anti-2A. I will admit I watched that bull shit Moore documentary and ate it up. I thought everything my government did was right and America was the best at everything without question.

You hear things like "War on Drugs", "Patriot Act", "DUI Checkpoint", "Defense of Marriage Act" and those names... that stuff sounds great. I don't associate with terrorists, I stay off the meth, I take cabs and I sure as hell don't like children... but there is nothing wrong with marriage I guess.

Then you realize how much bullshit all of that is. The point is that I am a citizen that has not had their rights stripped, it is unconstitutional to subject me to random check point stops by the police, that I have given the government permission by means of my elected official to snoop into my private information, I have allowed the government to tell me what I can and can not do with my own body and I have now let the government tell me what consenting adults I can fuck and enter into contracts with. That is directly hindering my current and future freedom.

That kid may come off as a punk but he is a hero in my opinion because I am not smart enough and I don't have the balls to find a safe and blatant way to tell the police that they are violating my rights and they can fuck off when they do. Just like safe 2A open carry folk are heroes to me. I don't have the balls to do that shit or the stomach to take everyone hating me but I now will openly applaud them.

Everyone was propatriot act when it was signed into law. It wasn't until after people started to find out what exactly was in it.

There were a handful of people that were openly against it and they got branded ironically as unpatriotic. Hindsight.

Too many for sure, but not everyone.

From John Perry Barlow on Sept 11, 2001:

[...] nothing could serve those who believe that American "safety" is more important than American liberty better than something like this. Control freaks will dine on this day for the rest of our lives. Within a few hours, we will see beginning the most vigorous efforts to end what remains of freedom in America. Those of who are willing to sacrifice a little - largely illusory - safety in order to maintain our faith in the original ideals of America will have to fight for those ideals just as vigorously. I beg you to begin NOW to do whatever you can - whether writing your public officials, joining the ACLU or EFF, taking to the streets, or living visibly free and fearless lives - to prevent the spasm of control mania from destroying the dreams that far more have died for over the last two hundred twenty five years than died this morning. Don't let the terrorists or (their natural allies) the fascists win. Remember that the goal of terrorism is to create increasingly paralytic totalitarianism in the government it attacks. Don't give them the satisfaction. Fear nothing. Live free. And, please, let us try to forgive those who have committed these appalling crimes. If we hate them, we will become them. May God - or Whatever you want to call It - bless us all. We'll need it. Barlow
