You dont have to know someone nor do they have to bang on your door to recognize that person lives on your street. Im also gonna say your exaggeration is getting a bit old. The only way you could not recognize someone is if your walking around with a blind fold on. This no different then knowing someone works in your building but you dont sit next to them or you recognize the person at the local convenience store. If your memory is that bad you may want to apply for disability.

I dont think you do. I think you know a lot of people that say they would but have never fired the first shot. But then again we cant really go by your memory now can we?

You'd be surprised DG. I've lived at my current address for just shy of 4 years now. I could pick exactly two of my neighbors out of a lineup....and that's because one of them is my mom's tenant, and I've borrowed tools from the other to cut down a tree. I wouldn't even be able to pick their spouses out of a lineup, or the tenant's kids.

My area isn't really one of those where everybody knows everybody lol, even as an acquaintance.

lol, I don't walk around with a blindfold....but I also don't walk around my neighborhood (or even my street) much either, or at all. I go to work at 7am, get home sometime after 6pm, immediately go inside, and do it again the next day. On weekends I go outside to do a little bit of yardwork, then go back inside.

You're right, I'm wrong. Cause you live in my life and I don't obviously. It's no exaggeration, I literally would recognize only 3 people on my street. The people that live 2 houses down? I don't know anything about what they look like, I've never seen them in the 5 years I've lived here. Not once, and I can honestly say that they've probably never seen me either.

I dont live in those types of neighborhoods either. I guess it comes down to how observant someone is. I see every thing going on around me. Maybe thats why i've have 2 punch lists for work the entire year.

I bet they have seen you. Most people observe whats going on around them. Or who knows maybe im wrong and most people go thru life with a set of blinders on.

Kind of proves my point that they do notice whats going on around them. They may have just not realized who it was when they did it.
