And yet there are countries with tight gun regulation and that are low on firearm murders. Let's just ignore that, shall we?

As we should because no two countries are the same. The ones you speak of dont share a border with mexico and hence every country below it. No one is swimming from cuba to england. No one is riding in a raft from haiti to england. Funny how you try observe one aspect and ignore the rest.

You are missing the point completely. You don't know if you need a gun until you need one. And then, if you don't have one, it's too late. Ask those people from that movie theater in CO if they knew they would need a gun that night. Or anyone who is a victim of violent crime.
I didn't say that everyone doesn't need a gun. The people who own them, for the most part never use them in self defense. Odds are your kid gets a hold of it and kills themselves or you with it before you'll ever have to shoot a home intruder.

Case in point, DG how often have you ever pulled your gun on anyone.

Let me make sure of what your saying here. There is an estimated 270 million guns in the hands of US citizens. They estimate the number of times guns are used yearly to save lives at 2.5 million times a year in this country alone. BUT your saying the odds are your kids kill themselves or you with it is larger. Am i getting what your saying correct?

to answer your question to me the answer is no. I've chambered 1 round in potential self defense. That being said i dont go for my gun right away. The 3 times people have tried to get into my house late at night (i know 1 was the guy was drunk and at the wrong door and another was someone trying to pry it open) I did not grab my gun but to pass it to my wife. She did not chamber a round but was ready to do so if needed. I did however almost unlock the door for him. I wanted to see how he was going to handle the 4 dogs with their hair standing up and teeth out while i pummeled his ass with a bat.

I see your argument falling farther and farther behind.

Oh and for the record they have started cracking down on parents not taking proper safety precautions with children.

What's the correlation between loose gun regulation and Mexico?

Also, what about states that don't border Mexico?

As far immigration issues in Europe, there are plenty. England especially has a problem.

Are you seriously even attempting to compare the illegal immigration that happen in europe to what happens in the US. Are you even considering the fact the nations with the highest murder rate are the same ones that breech our borders? Your reaching trigger and badly.

So you're saying illegal immigration is one of the main drivers of the US's high gun homicide rate?

So you're saying that people that legally own firearms are the main drivers of the US's high gun homicide rate?

How much of a factor? In 2010 there were a little over 11,000 Americans gunned down. How many would you attribute to illegal immigration?

It must be a significant percentage because, according to you, the US has lax gun laws because it borders Mexico.
