Active Shooter in DC Again

"SHELTER IN PLACE. Gunshots have been reported on Capitol Hill requiring all occupants in all House Office Buildings to shelter in place. Close, lock and stay away from external doors and windows. Take annunciators, Go Kits and escape hoods; and move to the innermost part of the office away from external doors or windows. If you are not in your office, take shelter in the nearest office, check in with your OEC and wait for USCP to clear the incident. No one will be permitted to enter or exit the building until directed by USCP. All staff should monitor the situation. Further information will be provided as it becomes available."

Car chase started near White House... then it looks like a guy tried to ram the barrier on Pennsylvania Avenue in a black DSM eclipse (as far as I can tell from looking at the video...not the car of choice for ramming if you ask me), then shots fired and an officer was injured. I am looking at a police car with its air bags deployed.

im hearing tried to ram the white house gate and it was a woman and she was shot secret service was giving chase

Wow. Yeah I am just spitting out the news as I hear it. When these shootings happen I need to decide if it is a terrorist attack and then decide what I am going to do. Going home isn't much of on option if there is something large scale going on. I live right outside of DC.

I know that sounds a little paranoid or really just crazy but I want nothing to do with armed gunmen or terrorist attacks in DC. Or go anywhere near any of the metro stops. Going home I pass like 5 suburb metro stops.
